Thousands turned out to celebrate Europe's largest annual Gay Pride Parade as festival goers wound their way through the streets of central London on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The event brought together members from across the LGBT community in the UK & further afield, culminating with speeches & performances in Trafalgar Square.

7th Annual Malcolm X Jazz Festival, Oakland, CA USA.The opening night of the festival showcased the Great Saxophone Player, Billy Harper at the Eastside Cultural Center. The line up on the 3 stages included Henry Clement & The Gumbo Band, Bay Area Saxophone Player, Howard Wiley & The Freedom Now Band, Black New World all-star musicians & Amiri Baraka. The Youth Stage showcased DJ's and a Martial Arts Display.

Sunday 29th April 2007, London. Vaisakhi on the Square – the most important celebration in Sikh calendar was marked in central London. The fifth annual Vaisakhi celebrations in Trafalgar Square, marking the Sikh New Year Festival, took place on Sunday 29 April 2007, organised by the Mayor of London, in association with the Vaisakhi in London Committee.

22 April 2007, London/UK, The Flora London Marathon 2007. 36,500 elite athletes, celebrities and fun runners ran the 42km/26m course through central London on a sunny and warm day.

1st April 2007. Southall, London, UK. 1000s of Sikhs gathered in Southall, West London to celebrate the festival of Vaisakhi. Sometimes also called Baisaki, it is a harvest festival, celebrated mostly in north India, particularly in the Punjab region. It is traditionally celebrated as New Years Day and is the beginning of the farming season.

17th February 2007. Oakland, CA, USA. Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (Democrat) of Illinois made an appearance at Frank Ogawa Plaza in front of city hall in Oakland, California.

Saturday 17th March 2007. Sandwell Asian Family Support Service (SAFSS), Health & Social Care Centre, Smethwick, Birmingham. SAFSS ran a Bhangra Dance Workshop called Bhangra Jam to fundraise in support of Comic Relief Red Nose Day 2007 – The Big One.

Following a sensational sell-out run at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Complete Works Festival in June 2006, Dash Arts’ ‘Indian Dream’, directed by Tim Supple, comes to the Roundhouse/London for a six week run from 8 March to 21 April 2007; prior to a major UK and international tour.

18 February 2007, London/UK, Chinese New Year celebrations commenced with a grand parade of 250 performers though Central London. The Year of the Pig was welcomed by members of the Chinese community and Londoners alike.
